A total of 316 indigent senior citizens from 24 barangays of Bago City, who are beneficiaries of the social pension program of the city government, received their monthly pension of P3,000 each this morning, Jan. 8.
The amount covers their monthly pension from July to Dec. 2024, the city said.

Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres led the distribution of assistance at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center, along with City Social Welfare and Development officer Leah Pilipina Canayon and Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs head Leonito Garbanzos.
The activity was also attended by councilors Ma. Josefa Matti, Jake Patrick Torres, Carlos Mondia, and Ma. Femmy Alvarez-Martir, and executive assistant Jom Somcio, among others. ||
