Bacolodnons flocked to Robinsons Place Bacolod May 18, the final day of the voter registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), with the queue forming as early as 7 a.m.
The registration officially ended at 8:33 last night, the Commission on Elections Bacolod said, adding that 1,236 applicants were successfully processed.
The office earlier said that a maximum of 800 queueing numbers will be issued on the last day of the list-up, excluding senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and heavily pregnant women, who were accommodated via the priority lane.

The Comelec-Negros Island Region said it has processed 14,147 applicants from May 12-16, or the last week of the voter registration for the BSKE, with the elections set on Nov. 2 this year, adding that 9,254 voter-registrants were from Negros Occidental, including Bacolod, and 4,520 from Negros Oriental.
Some 229,037 applications were processed across NIR since the start of the voter registration in October last year, with 156,830 from Negros Occidental, 67,690 from Negros Oriental, and the remaining 4,517 from Siquijor, the Comelec-NIR added. | CGC
