A total of 1,500 registered solo parents in Bacolod will each receive P6,000 in cash assistance covering the July to December 2025 period, the city said Feb. 16.
The first payout was held Feb. 16 at the Barangay Villamonte gym, where 750 solo parents claimed their assistance, totaling P4.5 million.
The second payout is scheduled tomorrow, Feb. 18, for the remaining beneficiaries of the Solo Parent Cash Subsidy with total fund allocation of P9 million, the city said.

The subsidy aims to ease the financial burden of solo parents in Bacolod, particularly on household, healthcare, and children’s education expenses.
Beneficiaries who missed yesterday’s distribution, or cannot attend the Feb. 18 payout, may process their claims at the DSSD Office at the Bacolod Government Center.
They are reminded to bring their valid Solo Parent ID and other necessary identification documents for a smooth transaction, the city said.
The local government remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of vulnerable sectors, and ensuring efficient delivery of social services to all Bacolodnon families, it added. ||
