The Bacolod City Police Office reported on Tuesday, April 4, that it confiscated P8.9 million worth of suspected shabu from 72 drug personalities arrested last month.
Of the 72 neutralized drug personalities, BCPO spokesman, Lt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, said that seven were classified as high value individuals and 65 others belong to the street level individual category.
The 64 anti-drug operations of the BCPO yielded 1,316.388 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P8,951,438.
The 72 drug suspects are now locked up in jail after being charged in court for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In the campaign against wanted persons, Gabana also reported the apprehension of 92 fugitives, who have pending arrest warrants, for various criminal offenses.
Five persons were likewise apprehended last month for illegal possession of firearms, resulting in the confiscation of nine assorted guns, six other firearms, and an explosive.
Two more unlicensed guns were deposited for safekeeping at the BCPO, pending the processing of documents.
Gabana also reported that 60 violators of illegal gambling were arrested and P4,717 in cash bets recovered.
