In a bid to enhance tourism synergy and industry collaboration, key hotel accommodation establishments in Bacolod City gathered for a hotel collaboration meeting at Citadines Hotel Bacolod recently.

The event, hosted by the City Tourism Office (CTO), in partnership with Citadines Hotel Bacolod general manager Caleb Han, aimed to foster good relationship, discuss tourism updates, and explore new initiatives under the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) program, the CTO said in a press release Feb. 12.

The meeting brought together owners, general managers, resident managers, and directors of sales and marketing from Bacolod’s top hotels, reaffirming the hospitality sector’s commitment to boosting the city’s tourism appeal.

It underscored Bacolod’s dedication to strengthening industry ties and ensuring that tourism stakeholders work together to drive economic growth.

As part of the city’s continuous efforts, collaborative meetings and programs are expected to be held monthly to align with Bacolod’s tourism roadmap.

The latest meeting covered strategic efforts to position Bacolod as a premier destination for business and leisure travelers.

“This collaboration is crucial in elevating Bacolod’s presence as a M.I.C.E. hub. Through partnerships like this, we can further enhance our city’s initiatives and attract more visitors,” Ma. Teresa Manalili, chief tourism operations officer, said.

Sherwin Lucas, area general manager for Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod and Iloilo, emphasized the importance of maintaining Bacolod’s competitiveness in the M.I.C.E. industry.

“Be on the list, stay on the list, and be at the top of the list,” Lucas stressed.

Citadines Hotel Bacolod, meanwhile, hosted the gathering, and offered attendees a warm and hospitable experience, including a complimentary breakfast buffet. ||
