The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported zero major incident in the festival sites throughout the celebration of the Bacolaodiat Festival 2025 from Jan. 28 to Feb. 2.
During the festivity, the BCPO deployed an extensive security force, including uniformed personnel, force multipliers, and intelligence operatives, to key areas of the festival.
These included the Yuan Thong Temple along Burgos St., Lantern Street Dance and Cultural Competition and Emperor’s Market at the North Capitol Road as well as in the shopping malls and at the grand fireworks display.
Roving patrols and checkpoints were also implemented to prevent untoward incidents while traffic enforcers ensured smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement.
The BCPO expressed gratitude to the people of Bacolod, the festival organizers, and all agencies involved for their cooperation in making the Bacolaodiat Festival 2025 a peaceful and joyous celebration of Chinese-Filipino culture and tradition. ||
