The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is encouraging corporations with deficiencies in their reportorial requirements, either filed late or not filed, to avail of the amnesty program to avoid being placed under delinquent status.

The final extension is until Nov. 6, 2023 only.

“By availing of the amnesty, noncompliant corporations will only pay P5,000, instead of the higher assessed amount of fines and penalties,” the SEC said in a statement Oct. 25, adding that delinquent corporations tagged as suspended or revoked may also avail of the amnesty, with a 50 percent reduction in fines and penalties.

SEC Bacolod Extension Office director, Atty. Annabelle Corral-Respall, is encouraging all corporations and partnerships, especially those situated in Negros Island, to check on their compliance and avail of the amnesty.

“Should you need technical assistance, like in the online filing of documents, our office is more than willing to help. We have setup a kiosk for those who are having a hard time on the online application of the amnesty,” Corral-Respall said.
