Armed men shot and killed a 64-year-old widower at Sitio Maabo in Barangay San Isidro, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental on Monday, July 13.
Police investigation showed the five assailants barged into the house of the victim and shot him multiple times without any reason at all.
The victim succumbed to gunshot wounds in the chest, back, and right leg.
A fired cartridge believed to be that of M16 armalite rifle was recovered at the scene of incident.
The shooting incident took place three days after two civilians were summarily executed by New People’s Army rebels in the neighboring Barangay Gawahon, Victorias City. | GPB
