Anti-drug ops yield guns, shabu

Police seized three firearms and P231,000 worth of suspected shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on March 24.

The arrest of alias “Bartoloy”, 37, at Sitio Canipa-an in Barangay Banquerohan, Cadiz City led to the confiscation of three firearms, including a Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver, a caliber .22 revolver, a Smith and Wesson caliber 357 Magnum revolver, and eight ammunition.

An estimated 12 grams of suspected shabu valued at P81,600 were also found in his possession.

Another operation resulted in the arrest of alias “JM” at Rizal St. in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, and also yielded seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600.

Suspected dried marijuana leaves, with a market value of P2,250, were recovered by the police from alias “Dar” at Hacienda La Consolacion in Barangay XII, Victorias City. | GB
