Another gov’t worker nabbed for shabu

The arrest of a government worker and four other drug suspects Dec. 15 in Negros Occidental yielded P890,800 worth of illegal drugs, according to the Philippine National Police.

Two of the five drug suspects were arrested Sunday during a buy-bust operation at Purok Tilapia in Brgy. 3, Bacolod City. Their arrests yielded 117 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P795,000, as reported by the Bacolod City Police Drug Enforcement Unit.

A buy-bust operation also on Sunday in Barangay Tinampa-an, Cadiz City, led to the arrest of alias Jing, a 44-year-old government employee, and the recovery of an estimated two grams of suspected shabu, worth P13,600.

Another similar police operation resulted in the arrest of two more drug suspects, including a fishpond caretaker and a minor, at Sitio Dap-dap in Barangay Lantad, Silay City.

The Silay police also recovered about 12 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P81,600.| GB
