Alijis fire victims receive assistance from `Team Albee’

Financial assistance of P5,000 was received by each family affected by fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City August 15.

Thirteen families in Purok San Jose Paho said they are thankful for the first financial assistance they received, adding that they will use the money to buy materials to repair their houses.

Volunteers from “Team Albee” distribute assistance to the fire victims in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

Some of the fire victims temporarily sought shelter at the barangay evacuation center, while others went to their relatives. Food packs and basic kitchen materials were also provided by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the City Social Welfare and Development.

Team Albee also gave food packs even to other residents in the area during the distribution of financial assistance August 16.

Team Albee also gave financial assistance to more than 50 families hit by fire in Barangay Singcang-Airport, and in barangays 12 and Bata in previous months. – MML
