Albee dares Kiko to get more votes

Third District Representative Francisco “Kiko” Benitez was challenged by his brother, Albee, to get more votes in the May 2022 elections than what he got in the 2019 polls.

The solon was accompanied by his brother and nephew Javi Benitez when he filed his Certificate of Candidacy at the provincial Comelec receiving center at the Social Hall of Capitol Oct. 4.

The former congressman challenged his brother to increase his number of votes through the delivery of more services to his constituents.

The neophyte solon is seeking the support of people in the third district so that he can continue his priority projects, like the i-Help program and digital infrastructure transformation, which he believes are needed in the economic recovery after the pandemic.

Several mayors and board members of the third district also showed their support for Benitez.

Abang Lingkod Partylist Rep. Stephen Paduano and party nominee, Victorias City Mayor Frederick Palanca, also endorsed the re-election bid of Benitez.

Meanwhile, Anthony Occeno filed his COC as an independent candidate for board member in the fifth district Oct. 4. — MML
