AGreKa wins elections in Bacolod

The trio of Alfredo Benitez, Greg Gasataya, and Kalaw Puentevella, or AGreKa, won the race for congressman, mayor, and vice mayor, respectively, in Bacolod City, based on the partial unofficial results from the Commission on Elections Media Server, as of 10:47 p.m. May 12.

The results were from 98.24 percent of election results (ERs) processed, or 303,924 of the 355,880 registered voters in Bacolod.

Benitez received 161,456 votes, Evelio Leonardia, 117,249; Ed Gulmatico, 1,640; Roger Abanid, 1,512; and Romy Gustilo, 1,315 votes.

In the race for mayor, Gasataya got 155,394 votes while El Cid Familiaran received 139,806 votes.

For vice mayor, Puentevella earned 144,417 votes while Enoy Novero received 130,954 votes.

Top 12 in the Sangguniang Panlungsod race are comebacking Councilor Caesar Distrito, 151,255 votes; reelectionists Israel Salanga, 147,125; Em Ang, 144,307; Thaddy Sayson, 142,751; Jason Villarosa, 135,932; and Celia Matea Flor, 121,379; comebacking councilors Bobby Rojas, 120,027; Wilson Gamboa Jr., 118,435; and Dindo Ramos, 118,106; incumbent Pao Sy, 117,945; comebacking Homer Bais, 117,649; and incumbent Al Victor Espino, 112,507.

Eleven of the winning councilors are under the Asenso Bacolod slate of Benitez, while Gamboa is from Team El Cid. | CGC
