SM City Bacolod ushered in the holiday season with the first Christmas launch of 2026 Sunday night, Oct. 25, unveiling a towering 40-foot Christmas tree in a spectacular lighting ceremony at the mall’s main atrium.
Dubbed Navidad De La Sagrada Luz, the Spanish-inspired celebration brought together golden angel ballerinas, dancing Christmas lights, sparkling fountain effects, and bursts of golden confetti in a display of light, color, and wonder.
Golden angel ballerinas highlighted the ceremony, coming to life one by one at the sound of a bell before gathering for a synchronized dance around the Christmas tree.
The official bell ringing signaled the grand lighting, as sparkling fountain effects erupted, Christmas lights danced across the mall, and golden confetti filled the air.
The evening also featured musical performances by Kids of Praise and the De La Salle Chorale Male Ensemble.
The Christmas centerpiece, adorned with colorful ornaments and radiant holiday lights, now serves as a festive attraction for families and visitors to enjoy throughout the season.
