Two graduates of the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, made it to the Top 10 in the Geodetic Engineers Computer-Based Licensure Examination, per results released by the Professional Regulation Commission Sept. 28.
Adrianne Louise Angulo ranked 4th with the rating of 89.20 percent, and Lorrence James Libot in seventh place, with a rating of 88.20 percent.
NORSU also achieved an 80.95 percent passing rate among first-time takers, surpassing the national passing rate of 56.82 percent. “NORSU proudly celebrates the newly licensed geodetic engineers and commends the College of Engineering and Architecture for this remarkable achievement.”
The PRC said 842 out of 1,482 passed the examination given by the Board of Geodetic Engineering in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan early this month.
Registration for the issuance of professional identification card and Certificate of Registration will be done online starting on Nov. 9, the PRC said, adding the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced soon. | CGC
