The Bacolod City government has issued a notice of violation to AMA Computer College Bacolod Campus June 25 for operating without a valid 2026 business permit.

The notice was served by personnel of the Business Permits and Licensing Office and the City Legal Office.

Mayor Greg Gasataya said the college’s business permit application remains pending due to lack of clearances from the Bacolod Environment and Natural Resources Office and the City Health Office.

“If they will not comply with the requirements for their business permit, then we will issue a closure order just like we did to other businesses that did not comply,” Gasataya stressed.

City records indicate a history of non-compliance, with the school lacking business permits in 2021 and 2022, before renewing in 2023 to 2025.

The non-compliance was discovered following a formal complaint from more than 150 students, who were barred from participating in their graduation ceremony. | TMD
