The Negros Occidental provincial government has deployed additional emergency room (ER) nurses to hospitals under its management as part of ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services and improve emergency response capabilities across the province.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said the ER nurses were officially deployed on June 2 after undergoing orientation and receiving their respective duty schedules.

Diaz said the deployment forms part of the provincial government’s initiative to upgrade the human resource capacity and capability of emergency room services in all provincial government-managed hospitals.

He noted that the strengthening of ER personnel is expected to improve the hospitals’ readiness to respond to a growing number of emergency cases.

“Today, more than ever, we are ready to handle more emergency cases in our hospitals,” Diaz said.

The initiative is part of the broader healthcare improvement program being implemented by the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson. | GB
