The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Sunday, May 31 temporarily suspended island-hopping and water-related activities in southern Negros due to effects of southwest monsoon.
While Typhoon Domeng has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the state weather bureau PAGASA advises that it is continuously enhancing the southwest monsoon (habagat), which will bring occasional moderate to heavy rains and strong gale-force gusts to the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
In a sea travel advisory, Coast Guard Station Southern Negros Occidental said that sea going riding public, coastal communities and fisherfolk are advised not to venture out to sea to prevent any untoward incident. | GB
