A Negrense is among the top 10 graduates of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026.
He is Cadet First Class Mark Clement Dequinto Centina, 24, of Barangay Burgos, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Centina, son of a retired enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, ranks 10th among this year’s PMA graduates.
He is joining the Philippine Army with a rank of Second Lieutenant.
Before he entered the PMA, Centina, studied at the University of the Philippines-Visayas.
Cadet First Class Christine Kaye Demisana Librada is the valedictorian of PMA Class of 2026.
She is the eighth female cadet to graduate as valedictorian since the PMA opened its doors to female applicants in 1993.
Librada will lead the 207 PMA cadets who will join the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, following four years of rigorous military, academic, and leadership training at the country’s premier military institution.
PMA Class 2026 is composed of 142 male and 65 female cadets.
The graduation rites will be held at the PMA grounds in Fort General Gregorio H. del Pilar, Baguio City on May 16, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as the guest of honor and speaker. | GB
