Six police personnel were recognized by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) for their exceptional operational accomplishments in the campaign against illegal drugs and wanted persons.

During the ceremony on Monday, March 30 at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, PMaj. Randy Babor, Ilog town police chief, and PSSg Josephus Tiera received the Medalya ng Papuri for outstanding performance.

The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to PMSg Randy Gelboria, PSSg Baltazar Gentuya, PCpl Jessica Yanga and PCpl Carla Marie Gonzaga.

PRO-NIR Director PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay led the conferment of medals to the outstanding police personnel.

In a statement, the PRO-NIR said the awardees have exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, courage, and dedication.

The conferment of these awards reinforces PRO-NIR’s steadfast resolve to intensify operations against illegal drugs and wanted persons, ensuring that justice is served without compromise, it added. | GB
