A tricycle driver was arrested on Monday, March 9 in connection with the death of his 17-year-old daughter in Barangay Rizal, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was locked up by his father, Joedin Braza, inside a room.
When it was forcibly opened by the responding policemen, the blood-soaked victim was found lying on the floor while her father, sitting on a bed, was just staring at her.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital.
Misunderstanding was among the possible motives being looked into by police investigators, which may have triggered the incident. | GB
