Ten individuals were arrested while about P904,000 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated in a series of anti-drug operations in Negros Island Region on Feb. 22.
In Bacolod City, alias “Esme”, 49, and her daughter “Bamba”, 25, were apprehended during a buy-bust at Purok Progreso 1 in Barangay Vista Alegre.
The operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit yielded about 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at P408,000.
Over at Sibulan, Negros Oriental, alias “Shakira” was arrested with an estimated 61 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P414,800.
The anti-drug operation was jointly conducted by the drug enforcement unit and intelligence operatives of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office.
Seven other drug suspects were arrested by the police in Binalbagan, Pontevedra, Valladolid, and Silay City in Negros Occidental, which led to the confiscation of 12 grams of suspected shabu valued at P81,400.
The arrested drug suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
