Policemen recovered an estimated P8.8 million worth of suspected shabu from two arrested persons in a buy-bust at Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City Monday night, Jan. 12.
The confiscated 1.3 kilos of suspected shabu is reportedly intended for the Sinulog Festival in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental this coming weekend.
The operation led to the arrest of alias “Anthony”, of Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, and alias “Tata Ramyr”, of Carmela Subdivision also in Barangay Mandalagan.
Operatives of Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit also recovered P6,000 in marked money and other non-drug items.
Both suspects will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
