The processing and issuance of business permits and licenses for this year, through the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS), will start today, Jan. 5, until Jan. 20, at the lobby of the Bacolod Government Center.

The BOSS aims to simplify and speed up business registration and renewal processes for entrepreneurs and establishments in the highly-urbanized city.

By co-locating all relevant offices in one venue, the BOSS program streamlines processing for requirements, including fire inspection certificate, sanitation inspection certificate, building permit, and occupancy permit, eliminating the need for applicants to visit multiple offices to complete their transactions, the city said.

Agencies and offices participating in the BOSS include the City Health Office, City Planning and Development Office-Zoning Division, Office of the Building Official, Bacolod Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Tourism Office, City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office, City Department of Agriculture, City Veterinary Office, Bacolod Traffic and Transportation Management Department, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The city satellite offices, to include the Bacolod Express Service Office at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central and the Government Services Express at SM City Mall Bacolod, will also accommodate assessment, payments, and issuance of sanitary and health permits.

The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), meanwhile, said that online business application via https://ebpls.bacolodcity.gov.ph/ will also be available Jan. 5.

BPLO head Stela Rose Rayos expressed optimism that many entrepreneurs will take advantage of the system to register or renew their businesses this year.

BPLO records show that 24,912 businesses were registered in Bacolod in 2025, the city said.

In Cadiz, the BOSS will also start today, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the ground floor of Cadiz City Hall 2. For assistance, call 720-0027, the city posted via the Bilis Cadiz Ugyon Cadiznon FB page. ||
