Bago LGU bags 12 awards at Negrense Pillars of Health

The Bago City Health Office presented to Mayor Mayette Javellana the awards that the city government received at the recent Negrense Pillars of Health awarding ceremony, initiated by the Provincial Health Office.

These include overall champion for 2025 Negrense Pillars of Health (NPHA), national immunization program top performing city, top performing LGU in violence and injury prevention program implementation 2024, 2025 best performing disease reporting unit, most outstanding animal bite treatment center;

Top 2 performing LGU for oral health care program, top 3 in champions of safe motherhood program implementation, top LGU in aedes-borne viral disease prevention and control program, most functional Elmis account in Negros Occidental, highest performing city in health literacy implementing seven priority areas of health promotion 2025, outstanding LGU-primary care facility with the highest number of BLS trained participants: excellence in community engagement 2025 (city level), and top performing LGU in health governance.

Bago also received a certificate of recognition for obtaining a Primary Care Facility (PCF) License, the city said in a press release Nov. 13.

These awards are a testament to the tireless efforts and dedication of the CHO, led Dr. Ferdinand Ramon Mayoga, the city added. ||
