A 17-year-old girl was found dead at the Reclamation Area in Barangay 12, Bacolod City on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
PCapt. Francis Depasucat, chief of Police Station 1, said they have established the identity of the victim through her clothes believed to be her work uniform.
The victim was a trainee of a private firm, he added.
He did not elaborate, pending further investigation.
Initial investigation showed the victim left her boarding house Tuesday night to buy food.
Depasucat said they still have to establish whether the victim was molested since she was partially clothed and her hands were tied when she was found.
Meanwhile, a 51-year-old man was found dead on Oct. 21 in the middle of a river in Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
His body was already in a state of decomposition, the police said.
Police investigation showed the victim had a drinking session with his brother.
He was believed to have drowned while crossing a river on his way to the house of his mother, police said. | GB
