Personnel of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office planted around 5,000 cacao seedlings in Ayungon, Negros Oriental Aug. 9.
Cacao is the main source of income for residents of Barangay Banban in the town, where the tree planting activity was held, the office said in a press release.

The activity is part of OVP’s PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees campaign, which promotes environmental conservation by planting one million trees in various parts of the country until 2028.
OVP thanked the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Akalabanan Association, Banban Women’s Association, and barangay officials for participating in the tree-planting activity. ||
