Eight associations from Negros and Panay Island received P150,000 each in livelihood grants, under the Mag Negosyo Ta’ Day (MTD) program of the Office of the Vice President, through the OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, from 2024 to July 2025.
The eight associations are the Kabalaka People’s Livelihood Association, Manayaosayao Farm Workers Association, Adiangawan Small Farmers Association, Concerned Crop and Livestock Producers Association, Bacolod City Mushroom Producers and Processors Association, United PWD Association for Rehabilitation and Development Inc., Federation for Reform Initiative Empowerment Nation building Development and Services Janiuay Chapter, and the Tamu-an Women’s Association.
The OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office also distributed Livelihood Assistance to 509 individuals, still under the MTD program, for the same period.

Each beneficiary received P15,000, and came from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Iloilo, Antique, and Aklan, a press release from the OVP satellite office said July 14.
Several beneficiaries had been visited by OVP staff for monitoring, and all of them shared that their profitable businesses continue to grow, it added.
MTD is one of the OVP programs that aims to address unemployment and provide livelihood assistance to Filipinos belonging to vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. ||
