Six kilos of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P823,000 have been recovered by the police in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, May 27.
The contraband was surrendered by one of the three drug suspects arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.
Aside from the dried marijuana leaves, authorities recovered 23 cartridges of liquid marijuana, being used as vape juice.
PLt.Col. Antonio Benitez, chief of Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, said the confiscated dried marijuana leaves and liquid marijuana were brought in from Luzon by a courier.
Meanwhile, a suspect identified only as alias “Zeddie,” 20, was arrested by the police in a buy-bust in Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City on May 27.
His arrest yielded about 35 grams of suspected shabu valued at P238,000.
The apprehension of alias “Jimboy”, 39, in Barangay Balingasag, Bago City led to the confiscation of one gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800. | GB
