PCol. Joeresty Coronica, director of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), is among the 22 police commissioned officers (PCOs) in the Philippines, who are national qualifiers for the 2025 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos.

Prior to his designation as the BCPO chief, Coronica served as the director of the Iloilo City Police Office, aside from occupying various positions at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

In a statement, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said the 22 PCOs, alongside exceptional teachers and soldiers have shown dedication, integrity, and excellence in their service to the nation.

It added that these outstanding police officers, representing different regions, have made a real impact – whether in crime prevention, law enforcement, peacekeeping, or fostering strong police-community relations.

Their commitment to public service and pursuit of excellence embody the very essence of what it means to be a member of the PNP, it further said.

“This recognition is more than just an individual achievement – it is a testament to the professionalism, sacrifice, and dedication of our entire police force,” the PNP further said. | GB
