A total of 18 individuals were arrested while P1.810 million worth of suspected shabu were seized during a series of anti-drug operations in Negros Occidental on March 10 and 11, police reports showed.
The biggest confiscation of illegal drugs, with a market value of P680,000, was made by the police on Monday in E.B. Magalona, following the arrest of alias “Ed” at GK Village in Barangay Gahit.
His arrest also yielded a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition.
On the same day, three drug suspects, among them a city job order (JO) worker, were collared in Barangays 5 and Mambulac, all in Silay City.
The two operations yielded about 16 grams of suspected shabu valued at P108,800.
The JO worker identified only as “Ren”, 31, yielded a caliber .38 revolver with five ammunition, and a Yamaha Mio 125 motorcycle.
Two female drug suspects were arrested by the police at Purok 9, Barangay Poblacion 1 in Sagay City.
Alias “Amanda”, 20, and alias “Liza”, 46, yielded about 63 grams of suspected shabu worth P428,400, assorted drug paraphernalia, and P1,000 in marked money.
A certain “Jomar”, a tricycle driver, was also arrested in the same barangay, with two grams of suspected shabu valued at P13,600.
On Tuesday, the police recovered about 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 from a certain “Patrick” at Sunrise Village in Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia.
Two more suspects, “Borge” and “JanJan”, were arrested at Purok 6 in Barangay Talubangi, Kabankalan City.
Their apprehension yielded 16 grams of suspected shabu valued at P108,000 and a Honda Wave 125 motorcycle.
Six more drug suspects were accounted for by the police in five localities, yielding an estimated P147,720 worth of illegal drugs. | GB
