The Bago City Treasurer’s Office won several awards during the Bureau of Local Government Finance’s 4th Quarter Regional Conference and Awarding of Top Performing Provinces, Cities, and Municipalities in Region 6, held in Malay, Aklan recently.
City Treasurer Caruso Villaflor presented these awards to Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres during the monthly mass and flag-raising ceremony at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center yesterday morning, Dec. 2.
Based on the 2023 collection, the awards included Top 1 among the 16 cities in Region 6, based on the year-on-year (y-o-y) growth in fees and charges; Top 1 among the 16 cities in Region 6, based on the y-o-y growth in locally-sourced revenue;
Top 1 among the first to second class cities in Region 6, based on the highest locally-sourced revenue in fees and charges; Top 2 among the 16 cities in Region 6, based on the highest collection efficiency in fees and charges; Top 3 among 1st-2nd class cities in Region 6, based on the highest locally sourced revenue;
Top 3 among 1st-2nd class cities in Region 6 on the highest locally sourced revenue in real property tax; Top 3 among 1st-2nd class cities in Region 6, based on the highest locally sourced revenue in business tax and other taxes; and Top 3 among the 16 cities in Region 6, based on the year-on-year growth in business tax and other taxes, the city said. ||
