The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) neutralized the illegal drug peddling activities of 56 suspects, following their arrests on Oct. 7 to 13.
Some 40 were accounted for by NOCPPO and 16 were arrested by the BCPO.
The Iloilo City Police Office apprehended 21 suspects; Iloilo PPO, 19; Capiz, PPO, four; Antique and Aklan PPOs, three each; and Guimaras PPO, one.
Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office-6 reported the recovery of 3.2 kilos of suspected shabu, and 10 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P21.992 million.
In terms of volume seized, the Iloilo City Police Office has the biggest with P9.56 million, followed by Bacolod City Police Office, P6.441 million.
The 107 drug suspects, who are now under police custody, were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
