SP lauds Sum-ag National High School mgmt. team for CSC’s Pasidungog feat

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod commended Oct. 9 the Sum-ag National High School Management Team (SNHS-MT) for being a regional winner of the Civil Service Commission’s Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award in Western Visayas.

The team, composed of Nerissa Catong – teacher III, office-in-charge Tech-Voc Program; Annablle Villaruel – master teacher II, STE Program; Clara Tigallo – head teacher IV, Farm School Program; Osward Acebedo – assistant principal II; and Dr. Warlito Rosareal – principal IV, was awarded as the regional winner amongst 31 nominees, the resolution of commendation, authored by Councilor Em Ang, said.

The SP joins the whole city in commending Sum-ag National High School Management Team for making Bacolodnons proud and for being a recipient of the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, the resolution added.

The CSC said the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award “is the highest recognition for state workers for their exceptional contributions through innovative ideas, or impactful actions of national significance.”

Ang said the innovative programs of Sum-ag National High School are the Science, Technology, and Engineering Program (STE-P), Strengthened Technical Vocational Education Program (STVEP), and the Senior High School Modeling Program.

“The unwavering dedication of the SNHS-MT, led by Rosareal, and their dedication to public education, substantiated through their innovations and strategic initiatives, significantly contributed to greater educational opportunities for the school and the community,” the resolution stressed.
