PDIC to sell residential, commercial lots via public e-bidding Aug. 22-23

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) said Aug. 9 that it will sell, through electronic public bidding (e-bidding), 37 residential and commercial lots, including those located in Negros Occidental, on its e-bidding portal, https://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph, starting 9 a.m. on Aug. 22 to 1 p.m. the following day.

To be sold on an as-is-where-is basis are closed banks’ assets consisting of 20 residential lots with improvements, 11 vacant residential lots, two commercial lots with improvements, one commercial lot with improvements bundled with a vacant resident lot, two mixed commercial-residential lots with improvements one of which is bundled with a residential lot, and one vacant commercial lot.

Aside from Negros Occidental, other properties are located in Iloilo, Cebu, Metro Manila, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Misamis Occidental, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Quezon, Sultan Kudarat, Tarlac, and Western Samar.

Property sizes range from 100 square meters to 7,535 square meters, the PDIC said in a statement. These properties were supposed to be bid out July 25, but the e-bidding was rescheduled as government work was suspended due to Typhoon Carina.

Interested parties can browse through the catalog of properties on the e-bidding portal where the complete list and description of the properties, requirements, e-bidding process, and conditions of bid are posted.

Prospective parties can join the e-bidding through a one-time registration on the portal at http://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph/Account/Register. Once registered, buyers may submit their bids online and observe the e-bidding proceedings by clicking the “Assets for Sale” icon on the PDIC website’s homepage at www.pdic.gov.ph.
