The Police Regional Office (PRO-6) reported the seizure of about P13.4 million worth of suspected shabu in Western Visayas, from April 29 to May 5.
It also resulted in the arrest of 44 drug personalities.
Of the suspects arrested, seven were tagged as high-value individual drug personalities while 37 were categorized as street-level individuals.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office recovered 105 grams while 184 grams of suspected shabu were seized by the Bacolod City Police Office.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 confiscated about 1,040 grams of shabu; Iloilo Police Provincial Office, 408 grams; Iloilo City Police Office, 230 grams; and Aklan Police Provincial Office, five grams.
PBGen Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, lauded the operating personnel for the significant recoveries of illegal drugs and arrest of drug peddlers.
“Let’s intensify our campaign and exert extra effort to identify the cohorts of these illegal drug traffickers, and if evidence warrants, subject them to law enforcement operations,” Wanky said. | GB
