Rowers displayed skill, endurance, and sheer determination during the Palumba Bugsay sa Dinagsa Jan. 17 at the Cadiz City Old Port in Brgy. Zone 4, in line with the ongoing Golden Dinagsa Festival celebration.
Renel Caravaña and Edwin Diosoja of Brgy. Cadiz Viejo won first place, followed by the tandems of Kent Abaredo and Kevin Abaredo of Brgy. Daga, and of Rolly Ingasca and Sonny Ingasca, and Marlon Alboro and Gerald Serapino, all of Brgy. Cadiz Viejo, as well as Laurito Responte and Reynaldo Argoncillo.
The event also featured the Inday Bugsay, which showcased the artistic skills of the LGBTQIA+ community as they transformed themselves into mesmerizing creatures of the sea, a press release from the city said.
Jessie Perje won first place, Gerson Alimodia – second, Jude Ronel Quibete – third, Tanya Olimpo – fourth, and Christine Biene on fifth spot.
The Pinta Banca, on the other hand, showed the artists’ creativity as they engraved and painted their unique designs on the boats.
The intricate and vibrant artworks that bagged the awards are Roldan Vallena in first place, Chrisjoy Magbanua – second, Johnrey Bacolod – third, Ryan Benting – fourth, and Israel Arabia – fifth. | Bilis Cadiz photos
