The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod Wednesday approved the request of Mayor Alfredo Benitez extending the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) deadline for the filing of permits and licenses for 2023 to Feb. 15.

Benitez has sought for the passage of a resolution that the ongoing BOSS be extended, but with no discount or penalty from Jan. 21 to Feb. 15.

Those able to fully settle the first quarter payment of business taxes, fees, and charges until Jan. 20 will be granted a 10 percent discount, the city said.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran also noted that the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry likewise requested for an extension.

The city earlier said that, as per the Business Permits and Licensing Office, some 340 business permits have already been issued, out of the 8,011 applications received, as of Jan. 9. These include 1,710 via https://ebpls.bacolodcity.gov.ph, and 6,301 manually processed.
