The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) is deploying 900 police personnel and other force multipliers to ensure a comprehensive security of Panaad sa Negros festival sites in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The festival’s 30th edition will be held from April 13 to 19.

PRO-NIR Director PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay and Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will lead the send-off ceremony of security forces, personnel of the Bureau of Fire and Protection, Provincial Health Office and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, and other force multipliers on April 11 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

In a statement, the PRO-NIR emphasized that the deployment will be implemented under a comprehensive security framework anchored on intelligence-driven operations, heightened police visibility, and strong coordination with local government units, force multipliers, and partner agencies.

The security personnel will be provided with more than 100 logistical assets, including mobile vehicles, motorcycles, handheld radios, base radios, and man truck to enhance mobility, coordination, and operational efficiency.

Ibay assured the public of the police’s full readiness to address any security concerns.

He also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and to extend full cooperation with authorities by strictly observing security protocols, underscoring that public safety is a shared responsibility for a safe and successful festival. | GB
