Nine individuals were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on Aug. 6.
Alias “Pam”, 31, a village councilor, and alias “Nay Grace”, 60, were collared by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Sitio San Roque, Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran.
The operation yielded about 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000.
In Sagay City, the police recovered 58 grams of suspected shabu worth P394,400 from alias “Kaning”, who was arrested at Teachers Village in Barangay 1 Poblacion.
The operation at Ascalon St. in Barangay 1, Victorias City led to the arrest of alias “Lon” and the seizure of about 11 grams of suspected shabu valued at P74,800 from his possession.
Five other drug suspects were also arrested in Escalante City, La Carlota City, E.B. Magalona, Cauayan, and Pontevedra.
They yielded about 14 grams of suspected shabu worth P99,450.
All the arrested individuals will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
