A total of 783 fugitives, who are facing criminal offenses in court, were arrested in Negros Occidental in the first quarter of 2024, according to reports of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.

Of the total arrested wanted persons, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office accounted for 657 while the Bacolod City Police Office collared 126 others.

The 81 arrested by NOCPPO were categorized as most wanted persons, the PRO-6 report added.

PLt. Col. Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said that NOCPPO recorded the most number of arrested persons in the region.

In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, lauded the commitment and outstanding performance of the police operatives that persistently searched and arrested the fugitives.

The 783 fugitives nabbed in Negros Occidental were among the 1,501 wanted persons netted by the PRO-6 for the same period. | GB
