6 entries from Negros among 48 finalists in Pagcor photo contest

Six entries from Negros Island made to the finals of Pagcor’s Photography Competition 2024, on the theme “Harvest Time”, with the grand winners to be known on Sept. 17.

In the Drone category, the finalists from Negros Occidental include entries titled “Sun Dried” and “Salt Cycle”, both shot in Bago City; as well as “Sunset Symphony” in Bayawan City, and “The Old Men and The Sea” in Dumaguete City, both in Negros Oriental.

In the Mobile category with 16 entries, the lone finalist photo was shot in Magsungay, Bacolod City, titled “Catching Crabs”, while in the Conventional category, the entry “Isang Araw Sa Buhay Ng Mangangalakal Ng Talaba”, shot in Purok Gemora Semitic Labugon, Barangay 1, Ilog in Negros Occidental, is among the 16 entries.

The grand finalist photos were posted for voting on the official Facebook page of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation at https://web.facebook.com/pagcor.ph, starting Aug. 31, and netizens are encouraged to choose their favorite entries.

Pagcor said there will be one most liked winner per category, and only 👍 thumbs up will be counted.

It added that 48 exceptional entries from all over the country made it to the grand finals, from among the nearly 4,000 photos taken using conventional, mobile, and drone-mounted cameras that initially qualified for this year’s competition. | CGC
