As part of PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees campaign, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) led the planting of 5,000 mangrove propagules in Brgy. Daan Banua, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental March 23.
Together with the OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office are the City Mayor’s Office staff, Kabalikat Civicom, Bantay Dagat, Rebolusyonaryo Alyansang Makabansa, and Brgy. Daan Banua personnel.
Planting mangroves helps protect the fishes and other marine life in the area, and the OVP said in a press release that its goal is to protect nature and continue the campaign against climate change. ||
