Three unidentified suspects reportedly robbed five victims at gunpoint inside a pension house along the Mabinay highway in Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental Nov. 5.
The police said that Godfrey Calvez and Rommel Magallones, both collectors, and three other companions, were sleeping inside the AHS Pension House when one of the three suspects pointed a shotgun at them, through an open window.
The suspects took a total of P320,894 in cash and five cellular phones from the victims then fled to unknown direction/s.
The alleged robbery holdup incident took place almost midnight of Nov. 5, and reported to the police at about 8 a.m. the next day. — GB
Top 2 wanted person nabbed in San Carlos
Policemen apprehended Leonel Joel Cabando, who ranked number two in the PNP wanted list, in Brgy. 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Nov. 6.
The arrest was by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Arville Guyod Delgado, for the crime of rape, and denied Cabando of bail.
A murder suspect was arrested by the police, also on Saturday, at Repullo Street in Brgy. 2, Kabankalan City.
Francisco Mallorca, 21, a laborer, and resident of Sitio Saisi, Brgy. Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, was nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua, who denied him bail. — GB
