Five police personnel were recognized by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) for their outstanding performance and service excellence while performing their respective duties during the awarding rites held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday (Oct. 20).
PLt.Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana, chief of Victorias City Police Station, and PSSg Harnie Polondaya were conferred the Medalya ng Kadakilaan for the successful buy-bust at Barangay 1, Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Sept. 11.
The operation led to the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI) drug personality, and the seizure of about 143.26 grams of suspected shabu valued at P974,169.36.

A similar medal was awarded to PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, chief of Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, and PCpl. Lope Logatiman III for a successful anti-drug operation in Barangay Singcang-Airport on June 15.
They arrested a HVI drug personality and seized an estimated 174.6 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.187 million.
The Medalya ng Papuri was received by PCol. Eugene Rebadomia, in recognition of his exemplary efficiency and devotion to duty as chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division of PRO-NIR.
He ranked number one in the results of the Philippine National Police-wide Unit Performance Evaluation Rating for the month of August 2025. | GB
