About P782,000 worth of suspected shabu were recovered by the police from five drug suspects in the cities of Bago and Victorias in Negros Occidental on Jan. 12.
An estimated 70 grams of the prohibited substance valued at P476,000 were recovered by operatives at the scene of a vehicular accident in Barangay Taloc, Bago City.
The suspect, alias “Bert”, a 38-year-old mechanic and a resident of Barangay 3, Himamaylan City, figured in a vehicular accident, according to the Bago City police.
The police also recovered an improvised tooter, a cellular phone, Suzuki Raider motorcycle, and P1,580 in cash from the suspect.
A buy-bust at Kalantiao St. in Barangay 6, Victorias City led to the seizure of about 45 grams of suspected shabu worth P306,00, assorted shabu paraphernalia, P192 in cash and P500 in marked money.
The four arrested suspects were identified by the police as “Mico”, “Lex”, “Kim” and “Nik-Nik”, all residents of Victorias City.
The five suspects are now detained in the custodial facilities of Bago and Victorias City Police Stations. | GB
