Four officials of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Negros Occidental, Iloilo, and Antique were relieved from their posts after a performance evaluation.

“Those who were relieved from their posts in Iloilo, Antique, and Negros Occidental were found to be lacking in terms of compliance to improve the services of their respective offices,” the LTO said in a press release June 23, although it did not identify these replaced officials.

LTO chief, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, said replacements have already been designated in the vacated positions.

“Performance evaluation is a must and is a continuing process in the LTO in order to find right personnel to occupy the right positions. This is a normal process that must be undertaken especially that President Marcos is pursuing excellence in government service,” Mendoza stressed.

“Let this serve as a constant reminder, a warning that, as servants of the Filipino people, we have obligations to fulfil, and expectations to be met in order to ensure optimum services to our clients,” he added.

Since he assumed the top LTO post in July last year, Mendoza said there will be regular performance evaluation of personnel, including compliance to instructions and innovations made to improve LTO services.

He said the performance evaluation will continue for all offices across the country. ||
