Outstanding Negrense rural women, women entrepreneurs, and organizations were recognized at the 3rd Rural Women Summit held at The Negros Residences in Bacolod City, this morning, Dec. 4.
The awardees were recognized for their vital contributions and outstanding accomplishments in the agriculture and fishery sectors.
The activity, on the theme “DigitALL Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”, was spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, through the Home Management Division, with the support of the provincial government Rural Improvement Club (RIC), the Capitol said in a press release.
Present at the activity were Board Member Rita Gatuslao, La Castellana Mayor Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan who was the keynote speaker, executive assistant to the governor and PGFPS action officer Marie June Castro, OIC Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Dina Genzola, provincial RIC coordinator Maria Elena Ortega, and supervising home management specialist Dr. Ma. Teena Pineda, among others. ||
