39 NOCPPO cops get cash aid

Thirty-nine police personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office each received P6,000 in cash aid in a distribution ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on June 21.

P/Col. Romy Palgue, NOCPPO provincial director, handed over the COVID-19 cash assistance to the personnel, who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019. The financial support came from the Police Regional Office 6.

As of June 20, the NOCPPO said 177 of its personnel have been infected since the start of the pandemic. Twenty-nine were active cases while 148 have already recovered and returned to duty, it added.

Palgue thanked Philippine National Police chief, Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, through P/BGen. Rolando Miranda, PRO6 director, for the cash assistance. ||
