3,812 relief boxes for Panay, Negros: OVP

The Office of the Vice President conducted simultaneous relief operations Aug. 2 in Panay and Negros Occidental, for those affected by typhoon Carina.

The OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office held relief operations in the municipality of Valladolid in Negros Occidental, municipality of President Roxas in Capiz, and the town of Buruanga in Aklan, where 3,812 families received relief boxes.

Simultaneous relief operations Aug. 2 in Panay and Negros Occidental conducted by the Office of the Vice President, for residents affected by typhoon Carina.

Each relief box contains hygiene kits, blankets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, slippers, expandable water jugs, and other needed necessities, a press release from the OVP said.

The relief operations were carried out with the help of the municipalities concerned, and their Municipal Social Welfare and Development and Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management offices, the OVP said. ||
